Re: Vector program

Yes I am using the Jtech plug in. The paths we good. Kinda confused as the why the pulsing was happening. Now I read somewhere else to set the travel and laser speed the same. I will have to try that

Vector program

Do you offer a program that does vector engraving or can you recommend a good one?

I am currently using the inkscape plug in but when it cuts its pulsing the laser like a dithered image leaving the edges rough. Am I doing something wrong or is this just how it works?

Re: Mirror Laser Engraving 6W LD

I have been using they gray curve on my last couple test burns and things have been looking better. But i also slowied down the burn more too so maybe that's why it looks better. I will post some pics tonight.

What do the difference levels of Gray Curve in the main PEP interface. Seems the higher number lighter the pic. is that the number of gray shades or something?

Re: Mirror Laser Engraving 6W LD

Emailed you. I was doing some calculations and 1/8 step with GT2 belts and 20 tooth pulley, 1 step is 0.02mm... I think that is plenty resolution. I think I will give it a shot. Pretty easy to change.

Did these 1 on Dollarama store mirror. Shading is better but the hatching is still there. Must be some ringing or something in the machine.

Re: Mirror Laser Engraving 6W LD

My machine is set to 1/32 stepping. Should I maybe try changing it to 1/8 and adjust my steps per mm.?

Pricing for mirrors down there is definitely way better then canada.

Re: Mirror Laser Engraving 6W LD

There is only one 45 degree angle available under the 3d laser category. maybe horizontal?
