To invert or not to invert....that's a question

I found a neat picture online of a woman standing on an earthen bridge. After the first engraving I inverted the picture to see the difference. I don't know which I like best. The first one uses the birch grin to look like rays of sun, the second gives a tunneling effect. 3mm birch ply, Emblaser, 70...

1st Mirror

I wasn't sure how a mirror would turn out so I got some cheap mirrored wall tiles for $1.66 at the big box store for a trial. 4w Emblaser pixel resolution .012, feed rate 130, 255 max. 2 passes. 4.5" x 4.5". PEP 5 with Pic Sender. Back of mirror: 20160519_223446.jpg Front of mirror with ba...

.20 Chipboard

Came across this chipboard from Thunderbolt that says its as thick as 5 sheets of 20# PAPER. Used the Emblaser 4w with 110 feed rate, 255/12. Took 8hrs for this 10"x14". The original image is slightly blurred which is why its not that shatp.

Re: Dither, no dither

John, I can't say enough about this software. The guy I bought my Emblaser from only used a vector program and went out and spent $10k on a unit that only accepts .eps files. When I aw him and showed him the quality of the engraving he looked at me and said he can't duplicate it on his machine witho...
