Re: Mach3 PEP5 settings

Changed the Dir input to the DAC to pin 16. Whats strange is the is a voltage loss of 2V when I have the DAC hooked into pin 16. When I take off the wire I get 5V. When I go from Grn to Dir + on the DAC with no wire from Pin 16 I get 1.77V I think I might have a bad DAC after all this... UUGHH!

Re: Mach3 PEP5 settings

Im on a PC and I think I found the issue. The ground input to the DAC is not working correctly. I'll fix that and let you know.

In regards to spindle pin 1: how does that connect to the DAC?

Thanks so much for your help and patience

Re: Mach3 PEP5 settings

Re: Mach3 PEP5 settings

Well after trying that FRC and Extended Edge, i'll have to say "Blah" to that.. came out even worse. As you can see in the pic Then making sure the Pixel resolution and Line resolution are the same, it comes out bad too. Z height at 3" from the bottom of the heat sink with the smalles...

Re: Mach3 PEP5 settings

Ok I just took that image and raised the pixels up to .09 and resized it to a reasonable size and its all blurry.

And I've changed the pixel resolution in the Gcode setup to .09 and now the same image is 54x43 inches.. UUGH!!

Re: Mach3 PEP5 settings

Thank you for the quick reply,
Just to clarify something.. When editing an image and adjusting the size, what should the Pixel resolution be set at?
Im reading conflicting information and was told that it should be the same size as the laser dot about .006

Is that incorrect?
