Re: DAC

Hi Jerry, The Maximum chips pre-soldered to an adapter are available from Proto-Advantage ( http://www.proto-advantage.com/store/ ). I have attached an image from my last invoice when I ordered 3 Max chips. You might need to contact them ( info@proto-advantage.com ) before placing an order to be sur...

Re: ETHERNET Smooth Stepper

Jerry, Adapters should be available from the ESS supplier. I don't remember exactly, but I think they have to be ordered separately. I will look and see if I have a spare and get back to you shortly. "I am going to use the power supply that is running the laser 5 volt. Tell me it will be okay t...

Hi Mike,
I assume you are generating gcode with S values for laser control. Without Z depth information in a gcode file, all viewers will only show the x/y lines. If you can zoom in on the solid rectangle far enough, you will see the individual lines.

Re: BMP file format

Hi Alex, PicLaser Lite is limited to using BMP images in 8 bit gray scale and 24 bit color formats only. I am unfamiliar with Photoshop, but there is likely a setting where you can choose different output file formats when converting your images. Most image editing programs allow similar choices. Ou...
