We have it in and I think it is working to this point. Now what? I am not to sure where to go from here.

Hi Jerry,

I would say first, set your PC to never turn off the hard drive or the monitor. Disable the screen saver too as it may interrupt the streaming when using WinXP. Disable all the USB power managements too.

Here is how the grbl settings are. You will have to change some of them based on your machine setup. Here is the descriptions of these settings also.

$0=30 (step pulse, usec)
$1=255 (step idle delay, msec)
$2=0 (step port invert mask:00000000)
$3=18 (dir port invert mask:00010010) <----------------This one determiines the correct direction your axis's move and may need to change.
$4=0 (step enable invert, bool)
$5=0 (limit pins invert, bool)
$6=0 (probe pin invert, bool)
$10=18 (status report mask:00010010)
$11=0.005 (junction deviation, mm)
$12=0.002 (arc tolerance, mm)
$13=1 (report inches, bool)
$14=1 (auto start, bool)
$20=0 (soft limits, bool) <-----------Change this to $20=1 if your using soft limits.
$21=0 (hard limits, bool)
$22=0 (homing cycle, bool) <----------This one you need to change to $22=1 if you plan on using Home Switches.
$23=0 (homing dir invert mask:00000000) <-----------This is for Homing also.
$24=0.000 (homing feed, mm/min) <-----------This is for Homing also.
$25=0.000 (homing seek, mm/min) <-----------This is for Homing also.
$26=250 (homing debounce, msec)
$27=1.000 (homing pull-off, mm)
$100=52.493 (x, step/mm) <----------------This needs to be calculated based on your microsteps, motor steps/rev, pulley Teeth and belt pitch.

$102=160.000 (z, step/mm) <-----------------This one also
$110=7650.000 (x max rate, mm/min)
$111=7650.000 (y max rate, mm/min)
$112=2540.000 (z max rate, mm/min)
$120=12000.000 (x accel, mm/sec^2)
$121=12000.000 (y accel, mm/sec^2)
$122=150.000 (z accel, mm/sec^2)
$130=4000.000 (x max travel, mm) <-----------For soft limit X travel distance from home.
$131=4000.000 (y max travel, mm) <-----------For soft limit Y travel distance from home.
$132=1000.000 (z max travel, mm) <-----------For soft limit Z travel distance from home.

You will have to input these changes with the Do Cmd. since you are still running the Demo of PicSender.

I'm not sure about the Do Cmd. If I go ahead and get the PicSender Is there a Don't Cmd. (joke :-D ). I am planning to get it next payday but I am in no hurry I am a long ways from needing it. I am sure we will have this figured out by the time I need it.

Jerry,

You just input the grbl setting you want to change and then select the Do Cmd. button. You have to do them one at a time.

After registering PicSender, you can select the yellow GRBL button then it opens a menu like this where you can batch edit the grbl settings and send them to grbl all at once.
