My DIY Lizzy the Laser

Postby Honk » Sun Dec 28, 2014 8:22 pm

Here is a shot of my home made laser. 40 watt CO2, 2watt Diode, 3 foot X 5 foot, My Z axis was built from bicycle parts and an old tread mill, X and Y are salvaged and polished square bar stock, aluminum riles and Ball bearings. The 1/4 inch glass top was an old coffee table out of our front room,
The heat sinks on the diode laser are from 3 scraped computers, my stepper motors , controllers, power supplies, and a few more odds and ends are from China. I use Mach3 and Picture Engrave Professional (PEP) which will produce some of the most outstanding art possible. You can view some of my award winning art at http://oldcharms.com on the album viewtopic.php?f=4&t=17
