Driver Board for Laser Diode

Postby wmgeorge » Thu Jul 07, 2016 10:15 am

I tried to do a Search for Driver Board but it tells me they are common words and not Searchable?

I did order the one suggested from Russia and it does have documentation and a vender that speaks or writes anyway English.

Anyway got this one below, off eBay and surprise it does not work. With 12 vdc applied and zero volts dc in on the TTL input the laser diode is on. Zero signal should equal 0 volts or close to it on the output, and even reversing the signal does not seem to work. As usual the Chinese vender blames the User for not using it correctly. Just a FYI so others do not purchase.

I always search for "Analog Modulation Laser Driver" If it can except Analog 0-5v, it should except a TTL & PWM signal also. Thanks for the heads up on that driver.

The funny thing, I left him Positive Feedback because I did not want any problems with the vender but I noted it Did Not Work. In the 25 he has claimed to have sold, none show up as that Item. They all say "Private", wonder why? Looking forward to the one from the Russian seller I hear it works, hope so.

This is what I got.... http://www.ebay.com/itm/152114329574?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

If your saying the Chinese driver turns on the laser with 0v and off with 5v, our PicLaser & PicEngrave Pro 5 can generate gcode to work with it and grbl. The Min/Max values would have to be reversed and the image would need to be Dithered to 1bit B&W.

No it did not work that way either. I will be wondering what his answer will be this time. Last time it was to tell me it was a Driver board and it needed to be connected to a signal in addition to 12 volts. Its on at 0 volts and its on at 5 volts, so go figure. Like most Chinese I have purchased from its always the buyer who is dumb. Last time I ordered a stepper motor for a project, the wired connector instead of 4 wire was 3 wire. I had to send him a picture so he could be sure!

Well the Chinese vender after some of the stupidest statements I have ever heard refunded my PayPal money. He said I don't know what TTL is, the driver he sells was not designed to turn the LD on and off but to make it flash.... off and on! When I pointed out that was controlling the LD he gave me the refund. Laserlands is the vender and like I pointed out before, ALL the people who purchased this Driver have the Item as marked Private by Laserlands.
