Picsender and V-Carve

Postby jlondon53 » Tue Jul 10, 2018 7:15 pm

Yes I'm a newbie. So I'm using V-Carve to create my projects and G-code. I've previously been using the Easel software with an X-carve machine. I've always had to save my G-code using a special gcode translator for Easel that is in my V-carve post processor menu dropdown list after downloading from their website and installing. So now I'm not sure which of the many (100+) options I need to select for use with PicSender. What's working for you guys please? Thanks!

The Easel V-carve Post Processor gcode should work with PicSender too as they both use the same grbl that is loaded on your X-Carve controller.

Make sure you select the Vector Gcode in PicSender when running the V-Carve files.

Thanks so much. I hope this will be the 'fix' I needed.

I have been using PicSender for a while now. Love it, by the way. Charles from Triquetra, suggested PicSender and I am really happy with the program. I am new to the forum.

My question about this post is, is it still accurate? I am running picsender v3.0.2 and use mostly V CarvePro. When running gcode from VCarve tool paths, should I be selecting Vector in Picsender? I was a little confused by this post as I am reading through.

We just put a new version of PicSender on our website, version 3.3.1 ( https://www.picengrave.com/PicSender.htm ), yes it should be accurate, and yes you should select Vector when using V-Carve Files.
