When the "insert G61/G64" in PEP6 is selected, it adds a G64 at the beginning of the file to enable Constant Velocity and adds a G61 at the end of the file to disable Constant Velocity.

Should I try g61/g64? I have had it checked every time.

Warp9 suggested you test with Constant Velocity enabled & disabled. I was just letting you know there is that option in PEP6 to add those Constant Velocity commands, or not.

I edited my gcode to remove g64, there wasn’t a g61 anywhere) and turned off CV in config and that didn’t help either.

What version of Mach3 are you running? If the last released version (.066?), try version .062. The last version is not recommended due to problems.

Yeah, the newest is buggy. I run .062 (R3.043.062) since day one.

OK, that's the version I use. Unfortunately my Mach3 machine is down now, and it will be a few days before I could get time to set it back up for testing. I also have an ESS and Gecko drivers on it. I don't recall reading what you have for a controller.

My machine is a light weight two axis unit with a home built DAC (pre-PicConvert), so my settings won't compare to yours, but maybe we can get some clues from it. I will try for Friday.

Jeff is in the direct path of the hurricane heading for Florida, so he may be unavailable for a while.

Jeff- be safe and good luck. I been in FL for 32years and Charley was my bad one. I will tell ya all about it sometime.

John-
Pass the above along to Jeff :)

My setup is Win7 64, Mach3, ESS, G540.
I am out of ideas, I’m happy to keep tinkering but it’s the same outcome no matter what changes I make. That’s close to the definition of insanity I think, lol.

Unless someone has another idea I need to get the machine useful again. I am going to completely disconnect the PicConvert and set my router back up to cut. Far to much downtime already. I have checked the wiring 2x, if it was wrong or screwed up it wouldn’t work at all.

My parents house (me and my wife had to move in with them after the storm) was without power after Charley for 14 days. No power sucks, but I will gladly live without power & baths in the swimming pool so long as everyone and everything is still in one piece.

Yup, Ft Myers area. Where’s Jeff?
