Did you forget that grayscale test image is in the Laser Testing Instructions PDF you wrote that can be downloaded on this forums main page?? Here is the link to it.
What do the difference levels of Gray Curve in the main PEP interface. Seems the higher number lighter the pic. is that the number of gray shades or something?
It's hard to explain exactly how the grayscale curve works, but I use it quite often if my image looks overall too dark. It gives it more of a balance of the 8bit shading.
I have been using they gray curve on my last couple test burns and things have been looking better. But i also slowied down the burn more too so maybe that's why it looks better. I will post some pics tonight.
Feedrate will surely effect how light or dark the burn is. There are many variables to fine tune for successful results. Just make sure you keep the profile settings saved for engraving on different types of materials, so you can load them later.
Hello everyone how did you do that kind of border what software did you use ? Also where are the setting for the Atkinson algorithm are they in pep 6+laser ?
Basemon, I'm not sure what border you refer to, but likely it was done with an image editing program before conversion into gcode. Dithering algorithms are in PEP6 - click on the Edit button to access them.
