We are just testing the gcode creation format at this time. We have a PEP6 customer that can test it with there laser before we release it.

Now I have bought uccnc and tried with the dac and without it noticed that the dac does not handle 400 hz mode. Tried to use the uccnc M10 Qxx code and mark a strange thing, already at the M10 Q40 the laser gives full effect 1A and equal to M10 Q255. Wondering what's wrong?

I'm not sure what you are referring "dac does not handle 400 hz mode." Can you give us more detail? You should not need the DAC with UCCNC and the UC300.

Do you have your Laser driver wired to the correct pin # in the configuration I/O setup?

You can set motion board UC300 at 25-50-100-200-400 Hz and I have seen a connection with something with the frequency setting it at the engraving. 400 HZ, the dac loses its position at once. I'll research more about why it is so.

I have tried to run the UC300 with dac but it was worse than mach3.

I took out the pwm signal to the laser driver from the UC300 port 3 and pin 3.

Run M10 Qxx g code from picengrave 3D laser starts M3 and it engraves but gets strange results.

OK, that's khz, not hz. You probably need to set it at the lower end. 25Khz, or 50khz?

We have another customer with a Stepcraft running UCCNC with the new PEP6 M10 Q code and was pleased with the results.

Have you done any testing with the UCCNC Laser Plugin yet?

Sorry I meant khz. Yes I have tried everything.
I have tried laser plug in. Strange results.

The laser gives full power already at the M10 Q40 .... Then it can't get good engraving, just get black.
Wonder if it is wrong on my laser driver black buck M8.

Has an industrial laser with glass lens now at 2.5 watts and has a spot of 0.14.

Perhaps try to put down the amp on the driver.

1a should be OK with a 2.5w LD. We run our EB1 3W at 1.8a max, but it's not controlled with a Buck M8 driver. We never have done any testing with one of those.

Try wiring the laser modulation to a pin # on the same port as your X&Y axis.
